We recently had a chat with Kate & Liz the women behind Obeo the quick, clean solution to food composting click here for more. We have since tried out this simple yet innovative product and we loved this product so much we had to write a review.
So, just to give you a quick synopsis of what Obeo actually is – Obeo food waste box is the cleanest, easiest, niftiest way to deal with food waste. It’s a compostable little box you keep on the kitchen counter and throw in the brown bin when full (this usually takes 2-3 days) It’s really strong and doesn’t leak or smell. Obeo is water-resistant, so it can cope with any wet and gloopy food waste you throw in it. Wave bye bye to bin juice.
This product is so simple it made us think why has no one ever thought of this before? Most days a bowl or plate begins to pile high with left over foods as it can be a pain to have to walk out to the garden (lazy I know!) to put it into the brown bin and making sure it goes into the bin liner. Obeo offers the perfect solution, the biodegradable brown paper bags have a nice little flap that opens and closes, you can put all your veggie peelings, left overs amongst other things into the bag. As the bag has a flap that closes it does not smell and it can be neatly stored under the sink until it is full. I no longer have to use a bin liner which is great as it rips nearly every time! The bags do not drip so there is no smelly bin juices.  Each bags shows you what can and cannot go into them which is great as sometimes you can be unsure. 2 months supply is €15 plus €2 for postage.
We are big fans of Obeo and highly recommend this product.
