 Irish Company Strong Roots Introduce the FIRST ever Kale and Quinoa Burger

Irish company Strong Roots has unveiled its latest innovation to further revolutionise the frozen food market! The Strong Roots Kale & Quinoa Burger has landed and is now available at retailers nationwide. Not only is this mouth-watering recipe a vegan alternative to a regular burger, it’s super convenient and will cut out the delicate preparation resulting in a tasty veggie burger within 12 – 15 minutes in the oven from frozen.

Strong Roots Kale & Quinoa burgers can be used in a variety of ways –  a starter, a side or the Strong Roots favourite, as a layer on a traditional steak or turkey burger in a lightly toasted bun! They are suitable for vegans, low in sugar and low in saturated fat. Each burger contains quinoa grown in Europe (as opposed to South America) and from a sustainable source, potato flakes, carrots, roasted onions, soybeans and a variety of spices including ginger, garlic and black pepper.

During its debut in the food academy in September 2015, Strong Roots introduced its first product, the Strong Roots Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries. The brand has since sold almost 1 million packs  to date and will introduce two further exciting product innovations to its fit family in 2017.

Speaking about the Strong Roots latest product Founder and CEO, Samuel Dennigan (31) says; “Our products truly taste delicious and you can see and taste the natural ingredients inside. Everything we do must taste great, be easy to make, be everyday affordable and be good for the body and the mind. Our new Kale & Quinoa burgers are already moving very quickly off the shelves and the initial feedback has been incredible. Samuel (31) comes from a food business background and has spent 10 years working in the Retail, Wholesale and Food Service industries, growing up at the fruit, vegetable and flower market at Mary’s Abbey, Dublin 7, while working for his family’s business initially. Sam has now found himself back in the area, and has set up the Strong Roots HQ (The Euclidean Space) on Halston Street, right in the epicenter of the activity. Having identified the opportunity for a freshly frozen range of vegetables for a time poor, but quality expecting and trend following consumer, it is there, in the heart of Dublin’s food quarter that these new frozen innovations are being developed.

Priced at €3.99 per 450g bag or 6 burgers, Strong Roots Kale & Quinoa Burgers are available in all SuperValu stores and select Dunnes Stores nationwide, Eurospar and Spar stores in Northern Ireland and Ireland, independent retailers including JC Savages, Joyce’s, Nolans, Morton’s, Lotts & Co., Kerrigans, Bodyfirst Nutrition, Joyce’s Supermarket, Kate’s Kitchen in Sligo, Fallon and Byrne and Donnybrook fair, with additional Strong Roots outlets being announced in early 2017.
