Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

What better Valentine’s treat than chocolate dipped strawberries? You can use them to decorate desserts, or, they can even be dessert!

Ingredients

  • Strawberries
  • Milk, white and dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • Sprinkles, optional

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries and pat dry with paper towel. Make sure they’re thoroughly dry before dipping in chocolate.
  2. You can either melt the chocolate in heat proof bowls set over barely simmering water, or, in short bursts on low power in the microwave. Make sure to stir the chocolate and remove from heat while there are still a few un-melted lumps. The residual heat will melt them.
  3. Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate, allow excess to run off, then place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. To decorate, either drizzle a different colour chocolate on the dipped strawberries, use a fork or teaspoon for this, or, decorate with sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
  5. Keep in the fridge until needed. Strawberries can be done a day ahead.
