Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows

Fun to make and fun to eat, these chocolate dipped marshmallows with sprinkles are great for kids birthday parties.

Ingredients

  • 100g white and/or milk chocolate
  • 1 bag marshmallows
  • Various edible sprinkles
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. To melt the chocolate, place a heat proof bowl over a pot of barely simmering water, making sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Roughly break chocolate into pieces and place in the bowl. Leave chocolate to melt slowly, stirring occasionally. Remove bowl from heat when chocolate has almost melted, stir until completely smooth.
  2. Pour various sprinkles into bowls ready for dipping then push lollipop sticks, skewers or straws into marshmallows. If using skewers, first trim off sharp end.
  3. Dip each marshmallow into melted chocolate halfway, allow excess chocolate to drip off, then dip the top of the dipped marshmallow into sprinkles. Stand marshmallows in glasses, a cake pop stand or similar to set, making sure they don’t touch each other.
