Introducing the Summer Menu at The Restaurant at Brown Thomas, launching dishes inspired by Michelin Restauranteur Patrick Guilbaud
The Restaurant at Brown Thomas has just launched their new summer menu, available now in the prestigious shopping haven in the centre of Dublin City Centre. The menu is inspired by Michelin starred chef, Patrick Guilbaud and the kitchen is headed up by skilled chef Kevin Garrigan. The restaurant seats up to 92 guests and is open seven days a week during store opening hours.
What’s on offer?
Breakfast:
Start the day with the delicious breakfast selection, including free range omelettes served with gruyere and bacon (€13.95) or with goat’s chees and baby spinach (€11.95).
The Grill, with all the “full Irish” essentials – free range scrambled eggs, grilled bacon, roasted plum tomato, portobello mushroom, Irish pork sausage, white pudding, potato hash and toasted sourdough (€13.95), is a firm favourite on the menu.
For something a little more extravagant why not try the champagne breakfast – free range poached eggs with bacon and roasted plum tomatoes, any barista coffee and a glass of Brown Thomas Brut Champagne (€27.95).
For those looking for a healthier option there is also the choice of organic porridge (€5.95) and fruit salad (€6.95) to name a few, and a selection of freshly pressed juices. In addition, there is an unbeatable selection of baked goods to peruse from.
Lunch/Dinner:
The Restaurant, adorned with a bespoke floor covering made entirely from thousands of coloured hexagon mosaic tiles, an undulating oak bar topped with white marble is the idyllic spot for lunch or dinner. The selection of “Small Plates” served at the bar includes, for example, vegetable crisps (€3.95) and butterbean and chickpea hummus with sourdough bread (€7.95).
The main menu offers a range of seafood including langoustine and mussel linguine (€18.95) and yellow fin tuna ceviche (€18.50).
Lamb burger served with harissa, mint and coriander mayonnaise (€15.50) 8oz Irish sirloin steak (€26.50) and Beetroot Risotto (€16.95) are household favourites.
The selection of salads; marinated chicken with sun blush tomato, toasted pine nuts, lemon and parmesan dressed baby gem leaves , bacon and crouton (€15.95) and cous cous, pomegranate and feta (€14.95) are among the unrivalled salad options in the popular third floor eatery.
Desserts:
Desserts of chocolate and raspberry torte, crème anglaise and vanilla ice cream (€6.95) and strawberry and basil mille feuille, balsamic and cracked black pepper (€6.95) are among the range of sweets treats on offer.
Champagne and cocktails, as well as large range of bespoke wines are available to accompany the summer menu.
In house Nutritionist, Charlotte Cummins works closely with the chefs and managers of the restaurant to implement the EatRight LiveRight® initiative into the day to day running of the restaurant, outlining to customers the nutritional value of the meals being served.
The exposed windows onto Wicklow Street and the full length wall of mirrors shed beautiful light on the space, inlaid tables made from warm oak and powder blue armchairs are arranged in a casual fashion to give the feeling of relaxed dining for groups of all sizes.
