Catherine Fulvio will be flying the flag for Ireland and will cook live on NBC Today Show at Rockefeller Centre New York on St Patrick’s Day
Catherine, TV chef, author and owner of the award–winning Ballyknocken House & Cookery School www.ballyknocken.com in Co. Wicklow is delighted to once again be hosting a live cookery slot on the NBC’s Today Show to mark our national holiday in New York.
This will be Catherine’s fourth appearance on NBC’s Today Show for St Patrick’s Day where she will share some of her legendary St Patrick’s Day recipes with the US audience.
NBC’s Today Show is one of the leading morning shows in the US and an audience of up to 9 million viewers is expected for St. Patricks Day. “This is a fantastic opportunity to promote Irish Food and Ireland as a destination – and sure if a % come and visit me at Ballyknocken when they are in Ireland, we will all be happy!” says Catherine.
A wonderful ambassador for Ireland and an ardent supporter of fresh and local produce, Catherine believes Ireland is enjoying an exciting Irish culinary revolution. This is evident by Irish food exports reaching an all-time high and Catherine is delighted to be in a part of this story.
“Promoting this important sector of the Irish economy and showcasing some of the wonderful quality Irish produce through my media activities around St Patrick’s Day is a pure pleasure. I look forward to encouraging more visitors to come and visit Ireland for a real Irish experience, so much of which is about our food” says Catherine.
Catherine will also be in Dean & De Lucca on St Patrick’s Day where she will prepare her St Patrick’s Day Warm Salad which she has written for Royal Rose, the world’s largest grower of SuperFood radicchio. It was after Dennis Donhoe, President of Royal Rose LLC, visited Ballyknocken House & Cookery School in Co Wicklow last Autumn that Catherine was invited to create a St. Patrick’s Day Warm Salad Recipe using the wonderful fresh seasonal ingredient of Radicchio and combined it with Irish ingredients. With her Italian heart and Irish blood Dennis knew that Catherine was key to producing the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day Salad recipe. A fan of the Italian red leafy vegetable, Catherine jumped at the opportunity to create a new dish to celebrate Ireland’s national holiday and her recipe will be circulated throughout the States by Royal Rose for use on St. Patrick’s Day.
