The plot thickens. Diana Beard has quit The Great British Bake Off due to losing taste and smell. This comes after she was accused of sabotaging Iain Watters chances in the competition.
In a statement, the BBC said: “Diana will not appear in the rest of the series as she fell ill ahead of filming episode five this year.”
Diana claims she has been ‘stitched up’ by the programme.
“We were 12 amateur bakers, no prize money involved. Why would I want to sabotage Iain’s Baked Alaska?” she told her local radio station.
GBBO is definitely one to watch this year.
