Ireland’s Best Scone

Now in its third consecutive year, Goodall’s has once again launched the search for ‘Ireland’s Best Scone’
Nominations close this Friday 9th May 2014 at 5pm. You can nominate your favourite scone by simply naming the scone, where it’s available and tweeting the nomination to @GoodallIreland, using the hashtag #bestscone. Nominations can also be submitted via Goodalls Facebook page.
Following the nominations, ten finalists will be selected and each of their scones will be tasted by an expert panel of judges including food bloggers, Sheila Kiely from www.Gimmetherecipe.com and Fiona Dillon author of Food from an Irish Garden, and Roisin O’Shea from Goodall’s.
The public will also be able to vote for their favourite scone at www.goodalls.ie, which will account for 50% of the vote, with the remaining 50% being awarded by the judges.
The final judging will take place at a gala high tea for the finalists in Dublin’s Merrion Hotel. The winner will receive €1,000 plus a specially-commissioned ‘Goodall’s Best Scone 2014’ plaque for their eatery or outlet.
