FoodCloud believes that if 50,000 people in Ireland reduced their food waste by 1 kilogram (that’s the size of a pineapple) a week, then just over €1 million will be saved. They are asking us to help by signing a pledge on their website, which is filled with all kinds of tips and information about reducing food waste. If you’d like to support FoodCloud, they are hosting the FoodCloud Feast on April 2nd in Smock Alley, Temple Bar, Dublin. This three course banquet will be cooked by Sophie Morris and will comprise of fresh ingredients that are ignored or forgotten by supermarkets. The banquet will be followed by a discussion on food wastage, chaired by Philip Boucher Hayes. Tickets to the feast cost €37, and include a three course meal, with wine and beer, as well as access to some of Ireland’s most prolific foodies. We wouldn’t miss it!
