BBQ Sticky Hoisin Pork Chops

Siúcra’s BBQ Sticky Hoisin Pork Chops

Give your chops an oriental kick with this easy, sticky and delicious recipe that is bursting in flavour. This recipe is the perfect main for any summer barbecue and will go down a treat with your guests and family. Nothing tastes as good as the marinade which is irresistibly sweet and sticky and will leave you wanting more!

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • For the marinade:
  • 3 tablespoons Siúcra’s rich dark brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 2 inches fresh ginger root, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Put all the marinade ingredients into a bowl and stir well.
  2. Add the pork chops and stir to coat in the marinade.
  3. Cover and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to marinade.
  4. Preheat the BBQ to a direct medium heat (175C/350F).
  5. Cook the chops turning frequently for approximately 15-20 minutes until cooked through. If there is any sauce left in the bowl you can spoon this over the meat after you turn the chops the first time. Then discard what is left as it had raw meat in it.
  6. Serve with a lovely fresh green salad. Delicious!
