Forget buying a tub of hummus,  this delicious dip takes minutes to whizz together.

Ingredients

  • 2 x tins chickpeas
  • 4 tbsp juice from canned chickpeas
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp tahini paste
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tbsp coriander, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Strain the chickpeas, keeping the liquid.
  2. Blend the chickpeas in a blender with 4 tablespoons of juice from the tin.
  3. Add the garlic, tahini, cumin and lemon juice and blend together to form a smooth paste.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with coriander.
  5. Serve with a crackers or warm pitta bread.
