Discover the flavours of North India with Sunil Ghai’s Spice Masterclass at Pickle Eating House
Take a trip to the hill stations of Kashmir, the shores of the magisterial Ganges at Varanasi, the pink city of Jaipur and the bustling street food stalls of Delhi, all without leaving Camden Street…
Award-winning chef Sunil Ghai will host a series of hour-long masterclasses on spices and pickling from August to October 2017. The exclusive events will take place in his wildly popular restaurant, Pickle, which specialises in Northern Indian street food on Tuesday 15th August, Tuesday 12th September and Tuesday 10th October. Guests can expect a whistle-stop tour of some of the ingredients and techniques that go into making the food at Pickle so deeply delicious.
From cumin and cardamom, both green and black, the mixing, roasting and grinding of spices, chutney making and street food sampling, Sunil will be bringing his insight and expertise to bear on the street foods of his own part of the world.
Discussing how North Indian food is different from other regions of India, and looking at people’s favourite dishes from tikka masala to korma and beyond, Sunil’s masterclass is followed by the opportunity to experience many of the lessons learned in the most pleasurable way – by sitting down around the table in Pickle for a two-course dinner. The perfect opportunity to try out your new skills identifying the spices and ingredients used in each dish.
Spaces at the Pickle masterclasses are limited, price is €100 per person for an hour-long masterclass and two-course dinner with a glass of wine. The masterclass starts at 4pm, with dinner from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday 15th August, Tuesday 12th September and Tuesday 10th October. For more information and to book, contact Pickle on +353 1 5557755.
