The Dublin Chinese New Year Festival is taking place across the city from the 6th-21st of February 2016, the programme is a showcase of the very best of Chinese culture in Dublin with some performers even flying all the way from China to give Dubliners a real of taste of Chinese traditions. 

Chinese Tea Ceremony

Join Lei Xue for a public talk and demonstration to experience the wonderful atmosphere of a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony and find out what the art of drinking tea really means. This event has been organised to mark Chinese New Year. Special thanks to Asia Market for their generous support.

Cookery Demonstration with Kwanghi Chan presented in association with Asia Market

Join us for a cookery demonstration with special guest chef Kwanghi Chan, new food director of one of Dublin’s honest new venues, Soder&Ko. Learn how to make a traditional Chinese New Year dish, packed full of flavour using ingredients specially sourced by Asia Market – Ireland premium Asian Supermarket.

Kwanghi Chan was born in Hong Kong and moved to Ireland with his family, in Buncrana Co.Donegal and from the age of 8, he was helping out in the family restaurant kitchen. Kwanghi has extensive experience in the hotel and restaurant industries working in some of the best restaurants In Ireland gaining experience with the best chefs in the country, Over the years he has also represented Ireland in International Culinary Competitions with the Irish Culinary Team from the age of 20.
