We never hide the fact that we think that Lynda Booth’s Dublin Cookery School is absolutely amazing. We’ve been there to see the fruits of her teaching, to meet the students who are so inspired by what they have learned. If you want to learn from the best, then this is the place to start your culinary journey. Lynda brings the top chefs from around the world to come to the school and teach masterclasses, both individually and as a part of the three month cookery course.
The school is light, bright and modern. Clean lines surround the most modern of equipment – if you want to use it, guaranteed they’ll have it here. Seasonality and a grounding in the basics of cooking are paramount at Dublin Cookery School, as is Lynda’s commitment to inspire passion in every student who comes through her doors. When we spoke to her last year we asked her what she wished for her students, and her answer was simple: “Eat one thing you love every day”. Love, passion and inspiration are the hallmarks of what students should expect at the Dublin Cookery school, as well as a whole new repertoire of amazingly good food.
This month, DCS have introduced a new week-long course to their collection, designed to harness all that new year passion and use it to create amazing food. We could wax lyrical about what Cooking For Friends is all about, but in this case we’ll hand over to Lynda.
“Cooking For Friends is wonderful way to spend five days this winter. We expect you to have high expectations and we expect to meet them. Previous participants have commented on how relaxing it is being in our great premises with like-minded people, totally focused on cooking and switched off from the rest of the world. It is a course where those with more experience can feel challenged and those with less can feel their confidence soar. You will be exposed to great new recipes every day and will have each step clearly demonstrated to you. You will then work in our hands-on kitchen area to recreate the dishes with expert guidance at hand. You will improve your knife skills, develop confidence to taste and adjust flavours and cook a wonderful range of dishes. A relaxed lunch in our dining room each day provides the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of your labour. A perfect break that will leave you inspired to entertain your friends and family effortlessly.”
