Taste of Dublin

Taste of Dublin is one of the most anticipated food festival of Summer 2014. It takes place in the beautiful surrounds of the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin 2. Tickling the taste buds from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th June, the Taste of Dublin festival is collaborating with leading International chefs, Ireland’s inventive chefs, sensational restaurants and producers for a busy, vibrant celebration of all things gastronomic. It is set to be an explosion of the senses!

This year will embrace all things fun, family and food with a Brazilian Carnival festival theme, Family ticket, The Bite Project, Salt of The Earth Test Kitchen, Podology in association with Wines from Rioja, Fire pit BBQ and the Icing on the Cake feature brought to you by homestore + more in association with Sony. Not to mention the stellar line up of internationally renowned chefs who will feature across the Electrolux Taste Theatre, Electrolux Chefs’ Secrets and Electrolux Secret Ingredient. The line up will include Michel Roux Junior, Simon Hulstone, Tom Kitchin, Monica Galetti, Tim Anderson and Jonray & Peter Sanchez-Iglesias. They will proudly join forces with Ireland’s best culinary talents including Darina Allen, Rachel Allen, Clodagh McKenna, Derry Clarke, Kevin Dundon, Edward Hayden, Paul Kelly, Kevin Thornton and Ross Lewis.

Taste of Dublin 2014 are proud to announce O’Briens Fine Wines, Ireland’s largest family owned drinks retailer, as the official wine sponsor for the event. This year O’Briens will present a wonderful range of wines to match perfectly with the fantastic dishes available from the Taste of Dublin visiting restaurants. Guests will also have the unique opportunity to participate in a series of Masterclasses given by the winemakers themselves. There will be 35 classes over the course of the four days, giving visitors the opportunity to try new and exciting wines as well as hosting table football and exciting blind tastings

For the ninth year running, Taste of Dublin will bring a superb selection of restaurants to the festival. Guests can enjoy offerings from the most established, long standing restaurants to the hottest new establishments making their mark on the culinary scene   including Brioche, Chapter One, The Chop House, Clodagh’s Kitchen, Diep le Shaker, Dylan Restaurant, Il Primo, Jaipur, Marcels, Matt the Thrasher, Rock Lobster, Saba and The Green Hen.

Amongst the confirmed food exhibitors will be Asia Markets, Ballymaloe Relish, Choco Allure, Coffee Bean Co., Empire Doughnuts, Ferdia Fine Foods, Gelato, Knorr, Aunty Nellies Sweet Shop, Freeda Fine Foods and Jens Gourmet Foods to name but a few. Each will display their bespoke produce, highlighting their most loved products to the masses of guests over the weekend.
