Drive The Change

FoodCloud are looking for volunteer drivers and driver assistants to join our team to rescue good food from going to be waste and deliver it to people in need in inner city Dublin. If you or anyone you know is interested then get in touch. It is an easy way to make a massive difference!

What is involved?
Driver and Driver Assistants cover established routes in our ESB sponsored electric car recovering food from donating businesses and delivering it directly to recipient charities to reach people in need.

Qualifications:
Drivers must be 25 or over with a full clean driving licence. Driver assistants must be 18 or over. Self-motivation and punctuality are essential skills along with a basic reading and writing ability. Good map reading skills and/or reasonable knowledge of the inner city Dublin area is a plus. We are looking for people who are able to work with others, understand and follow procedures. You will be working with food, so a good standard of personal hygiene will be expected.

Time frame:
You must be able to devote at least one shift (7.00 – 9.30pm) per fortnight, ideally for a minimum of three months.

Location:
The shift will start and end at Trinity Enterprise Centre, Pearse Street, Dublin 2. The routes will be located around Inner City Dublin.

Supervision:
You will report to a member of the FoodCloud team.
