Graham Norton Wine
Wed Nov 18 2015

For the last number of years, Invivo Winery in New Zealand have supplied that famous glass of wine to Graham Norton on his hugely popular talk show. The two have built a relationship, resulting in Graham deciding it was time to release his inner winemaker. Do not adjust your ‘sets’ folks – the talk show king has been moonlighting as a winemaker!
Graham has gone hands-on and added his ‘Norton Hemisphere’ magic to the New Zealand winery’s Southern Hemisphere grapes and personally blended his 2015 limited edition New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, under the expert guidance of one of Invivo’s winemakers, Rob Cameron. With the support of the Invivo team, Graham blended his own wine from scratch – and the winemaking world has been more than a little surprised by the results.
The wine has been criticially acclaimed by wine reviewers; in competition with its peers, it has scooped a number of prestigious accolades including a Silver medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London and double Gold at the China Wine and Spirits Awards.
The good news is that this award winning wine will soon be available in Ireland. This November, SuperValu, the leading Irish food retailer and Centra, the number one convenience brand will launch the GN Sauvignon Blanc wine exclusively in Ireland.
And how does it taste? Well, in the words of new Chief Winemaker Graham Norton, “It’s lovely! Tropical fruit…a bit of zing…cheers to that!”. Not only has Graham blended the wine and put his name to it, he has also taken a shareholding in the winery.
Available exclusively in SuperValu and Centra stores from 6th November, the wine will be on offer to customers for €12 (RRP €14.99). All of Graham’s proceeds from GN Wine sales will be donated to Dogs Trust charity located across Ireland and the UK.
