In what will be known as THE BEST PUBLICITY STUNT OF ALL TIME, last night press releases went whooshing into the inboxes of those of us who are interested in food to reveal that the fancy schmancy pop up restaurant we’ve all been raving on about, The Secret Garden, is actually run by Lidl, using all of Lidl ingredients. The Geniuses, namely Communications Maestro Claire Moran at Lidl raised €12,000 over the last five days, and as well as being fairly smug that they got ALL THE HIPSTERS IN DUBLIN to eat a meal comprised of ingredients from Lidl, they are matching the €12,000 and donating €24,000 to Barrettstown, which makes us very happy.
