ISPCC Holly Bake
Tue Dec 09 2014

Betty Crocker is a proud supporter of the ISPCC’s Holly Bake this December, baking a difference this Christmas. The charity is encouraging people nationwide, young and old to bake a Christmas Cake, a Festive Cupcake or a Yuletide biscuit to help raise funds to ensure that the Childline service can continue to answer children’s calls this Christmas.
The ISPCC has recently launched an emergency appeal – over 45,000 calls its Childline service answers at night will go unanswered next year, unless the public provides additional funds. The charity has issued an appeal for €1.2m to keep the 24-hour service open.
The loss of the night service would have a huge impact on those in real need and if Childline cannot continue to provide a 24-hour service some children will be forced into silence and only a generous response to the appeal can stop this from happening now.
The Holly Bake fundraiser will enable the ISPCC to continue to help every child who has the courage to reach out to the charity. The fundraiser is proudly supported by the Betty Crocker brand who has donated vouchers and product to each of the Holly Bake packs. Grainne Galvin, said, “We are delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile fundraiser and doing our bit to help make some dough for the ISPCC this Christmas”.
