Jack Daniel’s custom-made ‘Bar Slide’ experience

In celebration of the incredible history of the Jack Daniel Distillery – founded in 1866 making it the oldest registered distillery in the U.S.  – Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey announced details of the Jack Daniel’s ‘Bar Slide’ experience in Ireland.

The bar slide experience will travel to a series of different bars in Ireland, gathering friends of Jack along the way, with the first event scheduled to take place in The Bowery, 196 Rathmines Road Lower on Wednesday, 8^th February 2017, between 9.30pm and 11.00pm.  Whiskey lovers can take a load off at the Jack Daniel’s custom-made bar and try their luck with the bar slide while enjoying a complimentary Jack and Ginger, Jack and Coke, or sip a Jack on the rocks.  Hundreds of prizes are up for grabs as the Jack Daniel’s Bar Slide Experience travels around the country, with a grand prize worth €800 including a Woburn Marshall speaker system!

Taking inspiration from the shuffleboard phenomenon sweeping the US at the moment, Jack Daniel’s invites Irish pub goers to slide their puck along the Jack Daniel’s handcrafted bar, and try to land in a high scoring zone to win prizes.  As the puck travels across the bar it will journey along a Jack Daniel’s Distillery history timeline, allowing players to take a trip through years of authentic taste and experience. Those who land their puck in the ‘150 Year Prize Zone’ will win an exclusive Jack Daniel’s prize as well as being entered into the draw for the grand prize.

The Jack Daniel’s ‘Bar Slide’ competition will visit locations across the country from February 2017. The bar locations will be listed on the Jack Daniel’s Ireland Facebook page each week encouraging fans to visit the authentic themed bar activations, enjoy a complimentary drink, and be in with the chance to win exclusive Jack Daniel’s prizes.
