The Future Is Food
Tue Sep 30 2014

Following its hugely successful pilot year, the Transition Year education unit developed by The Taste Council in association with Bord Bia is now being rolled out nationwide to all secondary schools. This brilliant initiative introduces transition year students to the food and drinks industry in Ireland, aiming to broaden their knowledge of the amazing local, artisan and speciality products being produced here in Ireland. In 2013, 290 students and 16 teachers across the country took part, and as a result the programme is now accredited by the National Council of Curriculum Assessment. Brilliant job, everyone!
