Wed Oct 22 2014

As part of the world’s premier whiskey tasting show, Whiskey Live Dublin, will take place in the magnificent Round Room of The Mansion House in Dublin on Saturday, 25th October 2014. This will be the fourth year the event has taken place, and tickets are available for two sessions, 2.00-5.30pm and 6.00-9.30pm.
Whiskey Live is the international celebration that brings together whiskies from around the world, great food, master classes and entertainment to make learning about whiskey both fun and stimulating. Whether you are a whiskey enthusiast, an uninitiated newcomer or just looking for a day out that offers you something different, Whiskey Live has something for everyone.
At Whiskey Live Dublin visitors will have the unique opportunity to sample some of the greatest whiskies in the world including Irish, Scottish, American & Japanese whilst mingling with the producers and distillers. This year one of the world’s best cocktail bartenders, Jack McGarry from The Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog in New York will be there as special guest to host two master classes. McGarry was honoured with the prestigious title of Tales of the Cocktail International Bartender of the Year 2013. Joining him will be some of the capital’s best cocktail mixologists, who will be serving up samples of delicious Irish whiskey cocktails.
A number of leading Dublin restaurants including Etto, Koh and L Mulligan Grocer, will prepare some bite size dishes to complement some of the whiskies and Cocoa Atelier will present four whiskey and chocolate pairings. Whiskey master classes will run throughout the day and a number of the new Irish distillers will be there talking about their plans for the future and sampling their poitins & gins. There will also be a number of craft beers that have been aged in whiskey barrels
