Introduction
A delicious and healthy recipe that can be made in minutes perfect for people on the go.
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp dry sherry
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- 300g beef strips
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 shallots chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2.5cm fresh root ginger, grated
- 1 red chilli
- 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
- 200g broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp oyster sauce
- 200g fine egg noodles
Method
- 1. Combine the soy sauce, dry sherry, Chinese five spice, cornflour then add the beef. Let it marinate overnight if possible, but for at least twenty minutes.
- 2. Heat a wok and swirl in the oil. Add the peppers, shallots, garlic, ginger and chilli make sure not browning any of the ingredients. Then add the broccoli and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- 3. Cook the noodles according to the packet instructions, drain and coat in sesame oil.
- 4. Add the beef and cook to taste; approx 2 minutes for medium and 4 minutes for well done. Pour over the oyster sauce and stir in the noodles.
