Introduction
Keep this spicy dip in your fridge to snack on with crunchy vegetables or pitta bread
Ingredients
- 2 x 400g tins chickpeas
- 2 tbsp juice from canned chickpeas
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp tahini paste
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper
Method
- 1. Strain the chickpeas, keeping the liquid.
- 2. Blend the chickpeas in a blender with 4 tablespoons of juice from the can.
- 3. Add the garlic, chilli, tahini, cumin, lemon juice and olive oil and blend together to form a smooth paste.
- 4. Season with salt and pepper, place in an airtight container and keep in the fridge.
