Introduction
So called because of it’s imperial measurements, this is an all in one sponge mixture that is very handy to have in your repertoire.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 125g butter, softened
- 175g sugar
- 225g self raising flour
Method
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/gas mark 6.
- 2. In a bowl, beat together the ingredients to form a smooth cake batter.
- 3. Pour into a greased 20cm round cake tin and bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
