Elf on the Shelf leaves this as a gift or you get the kids involved as a simple holiday activity, this is a tasty little snack mix with a festive theme that kids (and adults!) will love. There really aren’t any rules when concocting your elf munch, use two kinds of cereal or three (though, for the sake of your teeth and sugar levels, perhaps only use one that’s very highly sugared). Don’t like M&Ms? Use Smarties! The possibilities are endless! Our mix was made with Cheerios and Curiously Cinnamon cereal, pretzels and M&Ms. We haven’t provided weight amounts as you can choose to make as little or much munch as you like! You really can’t go wrong.

Ingredients
- 2-3 of your favourite cereals
- Pretzels
- Large bag M&Ms
Method
- 1. Mix together equal parts of your cereals in a bowl (could be 100g of each, 200g, etc. depending on how much munch you want to make) along with a handful or two of pretzels.
- 2. Pick out the green and red coloured M&Ms from the pack (save the other colours for decorating a gingerbread house or snacking!) and add them to the mix, toss well.
- 3. Store your elf munch in an airtight container for convenient snacking, or you could even divide it into smaller jars and add “Elf Munch” labels to each one.
