Get the kids involved to decorate with icing and sprinkles!
Ingredients
- 130g butter
- 130g caster sugar
- 130g self-raising flour
- 2tbsp milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Method
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/gas mark 5.
- 2. Grease the fairy cake or cup cake tin. beat butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- 3. Beat the eggs with a little milk then add to butter and sugar mixture a little at a time and mix well. Add in vanilla extract. Then fold in half of the flour gently into the mixture and continue to mix well.
- 4. Finally spoon into the tin cases and bake for 12-14 minutes. Allow to cool.
