


Homemade Spicy Burgers

Introduction
Burgers get spiced up with this easy recipe.
Ingredients
- 500g lean minced beef
- 30g breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp Cajun spice
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices white cheddar cheese (optional)
- 4 slices tomato (optional)
- 4 slices of red onion (optional)
- Iceberg lettuce leaves
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 tbsp ketchup
Method
- 1. Mix mince, breadcrumbs, parsley, whisked egg, French mustard, cayenne pepper and Cajun spice together until combined.
- 2. Then divide up into 4 patties. Put in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- 3. Cut in a frying pan for 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
- 4. Lightly toast the buns and put the burgers in each. Mix mayonnaise and ketchup together and put on each bun.
- 5. Put a slice of cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce on each.
