Introduction

Burgers get spiced up with this easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500g lean minced beef
  • 30g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cajun spice
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices white cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 4 slices tomato (optional)
  • 4 slices of red onion (optional)
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp ketchup

Method

  • 1. Mix mince, breadcrumbs, parsley, whisked egg, French mustard, cayenne pepper and Cajun spice together until combined.
  • 2. Then divide up into 4 patties. Put in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  • 3. Cut in a frying pan for 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  • 4. Lightly toast the buns and put the burgers in each. Mix mayonnaise and ketchup together and put on each bun.
  • 5. Put a slice of cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce on each.
