Homemade Spicy Burgers

Burgers get spiced up with this easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500g lean minced beef
  • 30g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cajun spice
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices white cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 4 slices tomato (optional)
  • 4 slices of red onion (optional)
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp ketchup

Instructions

  1. Mix mince, breadcrumbs, parsley, whisked egg, French mustard, cayenne pepper and Cajun spice together until combined.
  2. Then divide up into 4 patties. Put in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  3. Cut in a frying pan for 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  4. Lightly toast the buns and put the burgers in each. Mix mayonnaise and ketchup together and put on each bun.
  5. Put a slice of cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce on each.
