Ingredients

  • 25ml orange or clementine gin
  • 150ml prosecco
  • Dash of grenadine
  • Cucumber ribbon for garnish

Method

  • 1. Put your coupe or champagne glasses in the fridge or freezer about 20-30 minutes before serving.
  • 2. To make your cocktail, pour gin into a chilled glass, then top up with prosecco. Finally, add a dash of grenadine directly in the centre, it should sink and settle in the bottom of the glass. Tip: You can give it a very light stir with something slim like a chopstick so the cocktail picks up a hint of colour but the syrup is still mostly settled at the bottom of the glass.
  • 3. To garnish, use a vegetable peeler to slice off a long thin peel of cucumber. Fold the peel up in loops, starting small and increasing the size of the loops as you fold, then skewer on a cocktail pick. Spread the loops open slightly so it resembles the shape of a Christmas tree.
  • 4. Place on top of the glass and serve.
