Introduction

Ingredients

  • 1kg Maris Pipers potatoes or any flour potatoes suitable for mashing
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • 1. Peel and halve all the potatoes. Boil in water and salt on a medium heat for 20 minutes until tender.
  • 2. Strain the water and leave the potatoes to sit in their own steam for five minutes.
  • 3. Add butter and cream and mash. Season with salt and pepper and serve!
  • 4. Tip: Use a metal potato masher or use a fork and whip the potatoes it removes any lumps
