Our ultimate mash, revealed.
Ingredients
- 1kg Maris Pipers potatoes or any flour potatoes suitable for mashing
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp cream
- salt and pepper
Method
- 1. Peel and halve all the potatoes. Boil in water and salt on a medium heat for 20 minutes until tender.
- 2. Strain the water and leave the potatoes to sit in their own steam for five minutes.
- 3. Add butter and cream and mash. Season with salt and pepper and serve!
- 4. Tip: Use a metal potato masher or use a fork and whip the potatoes it removes any lumps
