Ingredients
500g good-quality sausage meat
1 egg
2 tbsp mixed dried herbs
1 onion salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
4 sheets puff pastry
Small cup of milk to glaze
Instructions
Combine the sausage meat, egg, herbs, onion salt and pepper together in a large bowl.
Cut each pastry sheet into 3 strips lengthways (this will mean you will have 12 strips of pastry) Place a small amount of the sausage mixture in the middle of each strip.
Roll the pastry strips and then cut each strip into equal pieces.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4.
Place on a lined baking tray with the seam facing down. Brush milk across all the sausage rolls. Cook for 15 minutes.
TIP: You can freeze the sausage rolls before cooking. If cooking from frozen cook for an extra 5-10minutes until cooked through.
