Introduction
These minty patties are delicious when paired with pickled beetroot and tzatziki.
Ingredients
- 500g lamb mince
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh mint
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp dried breadcrumbs
- Salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Pitta bread (or burger buns)
- Mixed salad leaves
- Pickled beetroot
TO SERVE:
Method
- 1. Combine the lamb mince, onion, mint, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and mix with your hands until well combined. Shape into 4 round patties.
- 2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry for 5 minutes per side or until cooked to your liking.
- 3. Meanwhile, preheat your grill and toast your burger buns. Serve the burgers on toasted pitta bread, mixed leaves and pickled beetroot.
